"Fore the Kids" - North Jersey Country Club - July 20, 2009New Jersey Community Development Corporation (NJCDC) is celebrating the success of its first annual “Fore The Kids” Golf Tournament, which took place on Monday, July 20, 2009. Hosted at North Jersey Country Club, the golf outing brought together 120 golfers for a day of fun and competition. Close to $100,000 was raised through the event, with all profits going directly to support the work of NJCDC creating opportunities to transform lives in Paterson and the surrounding area.

The day began with registration and brunch before a 1pm shotgun start. Golfers from all walks of life participated, with teams from the following organizations: ACE American Insurance, Bank of New York Mellon, Brown and Brown Metro, Cammarano & Hagan, Cole Schotz Meisel Forman & Leonard, Waiting for the shotgun start at "Fore the Kids" - July 20, 2009 Cushman and Wakefield, Design Ideas Group, FedEx, Gavazzi Heating and Cooling, IBEW Local 102, Jordano Electric, Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, Langan Engineering and Environmental Service, Lum Drasco & Positan, Mercer/Marsh, Princeton Public Affairs, PSE&G, Reliable Benefits, Sax Macy, Steptoe & Johnson LLP, Thomson Reuters, and Vision General Construction.

“This was an inaugural event for us, and we couldn’t believe how much support we received from our partners and supporters, as well as from new friends,” said NJCDC President Bob Guarasci. “We are always looking for new ways to raise money and spread the word about our work creating opportunities to transform lives, and a golf outing seemed like a great fit. The weather cooperated and everyone had a fun day of camaraderie and competition. We are very thankful for all those who participated in or donated to this outing, for they are the reason we are able to continue the work that we do. In a special way, I’d like to thank our golf outing co-chairs, Bob Daleo and Bill Pascrell, for all their work in surpassing our goals during this time of challenge. This success makes all of us at NJCDC excited for next year’s outing!”
