24th Annual NJCDC Holiday Party After months of soliciting, collecting, and organizing toys for Paterson children and families in need, NJCDC's "elves" (also known as our AmeriCorps members) hosted the 24th Annual NJCDC Holiday Party on Saturday, December 23rd at St. Gerard Majella Parish.

The Holiday Party brought joy to over 620 Paterson families—and well over 1,000 children— who watched with delight as Santa and his helpers handed out thousands of toys.

They also loved playing in the bouncy house, having their faces painted, and interacting with special guests including Mrs. Clause, The Grinch, Elmo, and Big Bird.

Because of the overwhelming support from our community, this year's Holiday Party was the biggest one yet. NJCDC's CEO Bob Guarasci said, "I am so proud of our AmeriCorps members for organizing this amazing holiday event for the children we serve each and every day. The Holiday Party would also not have been possible without our dedicated supporters who donated more than 6,000 toys and the volunteers who wrapped thousands of gifts. On behalf of NJCDC, I would like to extend a warm thank you to all of the donors, volunteers, and staff that made this day truly magical."
