9th Annual Golf Tournament Raises Over $100,000

On Monday, May 15, 2017 NJCDC held our 9th Annual Fore the Kids Golf Tournament at Upper Montclair Country Club, which is one of the few golf clubs in the world that has hosted all three major professional golf tours. This year, more than 90 companies and individual donors joined forces to make the Golf Tournament a successful event.

Thanks to this year's event supporters, NJCDC raised over $100,000, which provides critical operating support that directly impacts our ability to serve 3,000 children, teens, and families each and every day. Funds raised through the Golf Tournament are crucial to helping all 8,000 children living or going to school in Paterson's Great Falls neighborhood reach adulthood college and career ready.

Despite a very windy morning, more than 100 golfers attended the Golf Tournament, which is NJCDC's second largest fundraising event of the year. After playing 18 holes of golf—thankfully, most of them in ideal weather—the golfers gathered at the clubhouse for cocktail hour and dinner. Following speeches by Board Chair and Condor Sponsor Bob Daleo and NJCDC CEO Bob Guarasci, Golf Tournament Co-Chair Don Buckley announced the first place team and the longest drive, longest putt, and closest to the pin contest winners. These lucky golfers received generous gift certificates to the Upper Montclair Country Club Pro Shop.

NJCDC would like to extend a warm thank you to this year's sponsors:
