Help NJCDC Spread Joy This Holiday Season!
For many Paterson families, the holidays are more stressful than cheerful. Parents already struggling to meet basic needs like safe housing, food, and warm clothing often can’t afford to buy presents. For countless children, the holidays pass without the joy of receiving a gift.
At NJCDC, we’re determined to change that. With the help of our “elves” — our dedicated AmeriCorps members — we're working hard to collect toys, gifts, and food from caring individuals, organizations, and student clubs for our 31st Annual Holiday Gift & Toy Drive. Through the generosity of donors like you, we aim to make this holiday season magical for the children and families we serve.
Last year, we collected over 7,000 toys and brought smiles to more than 1,400 Paterson children. This year, we’re determined to spread joy to even more families — but we need your help!
Here’s How You Can Get Involved
Option 1: Volunteer
Work hand-in-hand with our AmeriCorps team to make the Toy Drive a success! Volunteers can help sort and label donations, prepare arts and crafts for kids to do at our party on Christmas Eve Day, and more. Visit the Holiday Toy Drive Sign-Up Form to reserve your time slot.
Option 2: Take Traditional Toy Drive Collection Boxes
We’ll deliver donation collection boxes to your workplace, store, or school, along with flyers to spread the word. We’ll even pick up the gifts when they’re ready! Help us amplify kindness by informing your employees or community through emails, announcements, and postings.
Option 3: Online Wishlists
Our Amazon Wishlist and Target Wishlist make it easier than ever for you to participate in our Toy Drive! All gifts will be delivered to our headquarters (32 Spruce Street, 3rd Floor, Paterson, NJ 07501). Make sure you sign your name so we know who to thank!
Option 4: Make an Appointment to Drop Off Toys
Send us an email to make an appointment to drop off new, unwrapped toys at our headquarters.
Option 5: Monetary Donation
Help us purchase toys, gift cards, and holiday meals for families by making a financial contribution. Donate online, or send checks to:
