Elm Street Apartments

Completed in October 2014, the Elm Street Apartments provide 20 units of affordable and supportive housing. These units include 16 studios housing formerly homeless young adults and youth aging out of foster care, and 4 three-bedroom apartments for grandparent guardians of children with disabilities or children in the foster care system. This unique housing project has social service staff providing ongoing support to all residents to assist them in reaching their fullest potential and achieving success.

Formerly a vacant lot on the corner of Elm and Cianci Streets in Paterson, the intergenerational residence was designed by MG New York Architects and made possible by the City of Paterson, the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency, and the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York.
